A 67-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a single-car crash in Davenport, according to a news release.
Shortly before 3:20 p.m., Davenport Police, Davenport Fire and Medic EMS were called to the 1700 block of Bridge Avenue.
Initial investigation indicates that a passenger car was traveling north on Bridge Avenue when it crossed the center line, traveled through a yard, and came to rest after striking an embankment, the release says.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 67-year-old man, was transported by Medic EMS to a Quad Cities hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man’s name has not been released.
The Davenport Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash. No other information was available Wednesday night.
