Terry McLaurin or also known as Scary Terry is an American football player who plays football wide receiver for the Washington Football Team or also known as Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL).

Early Life

He was born on September 15, 1995, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the United States to parents Terry McLaurin Sr. and Grace McLaurin. He also has two sisters, one of them named Miah. Back in elementary school, he was known as the fast kid. He studied at Cathedral High School in Indiana and in the earlier days of his high school, he started to play for the school team and even he won Indiana’s Mr. Football Award in 2013. According to 247Sports Composite, he was the 36th highest ranked wide receiver in the class of 2014. Terry had his eyes on attending Ohio State for further education and his career in football and thus in June 2013, he declared to be playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.

He started to play football in elementary school. He was also a passionate basketball player. he represented his high school in various football championships. McLaurin attended Ohio State college the year and for the following four years, he played for his university. During these four years, he also captained two-time. He won three Big Ten championships, four bowl games, and defeated their rival Michigan Wolverines in all four of the games. In 2015 as a freshman, he played six games. As a sophomore, he appeared in 13 games where he made 11 receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Furthermore, in his junior year, he played 13 games and made a rushing of 29 yards and 6 touchdowns. In 2018, as a senior, he made 35 receptions for 701 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns.

Terry has worked in silence and behind the doors to be where he is today. He was drafted by The Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL) in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He made his debut on September 8, 2019, against the Philadelphia Eagles where he made five catches including a 69-yard touchdown. That particular season he finished with 58 recipients for 919 yards with seven touchdowns and an average of 15.8. Thereby he was named Pro Football Writers Association (PFWA) All-Rookie Team. In 2020 as of yet he has played 3 games and has made 16 receptions for 269 receiving yards and one touchdown.
